I skate ramps on a crazy venus plate, which is 20 deg. It probably isn't ideal, but I keep the trucks pretty tight and it works fine for me! I plan to keep using it til it fails, as it is a robust nylon plate hopefully this wont be for a good while.

The other consideration is compatibility of hardware, sunlite and avanti (both 10 deg) are particularly popular as they fit the most common wider grind trucks, but this is for more advanced tricks - worth considering as a future upgrade if you are buying a new plate for park skating, but this won't hold you back if you are using a plate you already have with normal width trucks for the time being.
