Columbia law professor refuses to speak slower in order for international students to understand him.

It's the students' job to learn the information. Spoon feeding "being taught", is over in college. Ain't no one got time for that.

I'm in college and this kind of mindset is really really old school. Nowadays a lot of professors are more than happy to make simple accommodations for students and to clarify themselves when they confuse people. At the same time, you still have to take it upon yourself to make your own learning environment easier for yourself, but you aren't as entirely on your own as your comment suggests.

Students aren't necessarily entitled by asking for help in college, especially considering the exorbitant rates we pay (especially at an Ivy League like Columbia).
