It was not Donn's day. Having missed twice now, the much taller student quickly raised his weapon again and prepared to fire as Shwartz moved in and pressed for an attack. The girl went low and gritted her teeth at the expectation of being shot, watching as Donn trailed her movements roughly with the barrel of his gun. Firing just as the girl sprung up and slashed horizontally with her great sword once more, a loud,

Tha-thu- SHINK!

Echoed out through the cabin, as the sword made contact first with the boy's arm, then directly with his weapon, causing it go off course just as he fired.

Donn's aura shimmered momentarily where his arm had been slashed, the electricity that had been coating her blade flaring over the young man's body to seemingly no effect. Allowing his weapon to slide forward and collapse rapidly, Schwartz could see as Donn's grenade launcher shifted into a spade, the time for staying back and shooting, seemingly over.

But something was off...

Donn's weapon had fired, but in that brief moment their weapons clashed there was no-

BOOOOMM!!!

An explosion rocked the cabin from directly behind Schwarz, a light layer of heat and shrapnel crawling up the girls back almost instantaneously. The young woman's aura protected her without hesitation, but the blast was accompanied by such a strong force she felt herself stumble forward and almost collide into Donn in the process as the Faunus brought his weapon up to defend himself.
