Comic 3549:That Will Void The Warranty

People keep dismissing it because her situation is her own fault, and she's had a humanoid chassis longer than him so she must be a hypocrite.

She doesn't want to be a companion AI though. She wants to be a fighter jet. She's literally a prisoner in her own body. It's not just that Winslow is free to do whatever he wants, it's also that he's walking in raving about how amazing it is to freely pick what she sees to be a shitty situation she never wanted.

You're all against her because she's a criminal. Imagine an actual prisoner in an actual jail, and their friend the wealthy tourist decided to go live in a cell next to them of his own free will because he genuinely thinks it will be great fun. He doesn't have to be there, and he can leave whenever he wants, but isn't it great that he gets to be in jail too? Aren't you happy for him?

I somehow don't think everyone would be shitting on the prisoner getting angry in that story. I don't think May is entirely in the right here but I'm amazed by just how one sided this discussion has been.
