I don't know about everyone on here, but from what I've seen, most people on this sub are putting their cats on diets and exercising them because they know pet obesity is bad! Most cats just got this fat because their owners didn't know how much they should feed them, and when they saw the health effects, they started to put their cat on a diet etc. And not all fat cats are unhealthy.

My cat is fat, but she is on a diet and I play with her for exercise, and I know she is healthy because she can still move freely, she can exercise, and the vet said her heart rate and breathing is fine. I post pictures of her on here because she is a chonky, but I would never wish for her to get fatter or unhealthy.
