My ideal game.

• Abby going to Jackson to find that Joel had gone missing, and then befriending/accompanying Ellie on her search for him.

• Joel would be the second playable character, but we’d play as a cruel, unforgiving Hunter Joel (in flashbacks spread throughout the game), who would act as an anti-hero of sorts.

• By the time Ellie and Abby find Joel, we’d have a fuller scope of who is he and more appreciation fo who he had become, while understanding that people wanting him dead was justifiable. And when Abby betrays Ellie by killing her father figure, it would mean more because we’d have just spent the game bonding with her.

• The Last of Us 3 would be the revenge story.
