I am new to the tactical gear/shooting community, and I wanted to take a moment and discuss a disconcerting trend.

First, I wanted to say, out of all of the communities I have been part of here on Reddit, you guys are the most positive and helpful when people ask for advice. Y’all are awesome! Let’s keep this up.

The last week or so, I’ve seen a lot of posts bagging on people within our community. This is what concerns me. Our community, which has been mostly positive and supportive, is attacking each other over a single figure in the community.

Let’s be honest, we’ve given this particular individual way too much “air time” in our community. If you’re learning how to move/shoot from videos on the internet, I encourage you to find an in person class ASAP. With all physical activities, you really aren’t getting quality instruction without the instructor present in person to observe your movements and provide corrective feedback, regardless of how good the instructor is.

So, for the love of our community, can we get back to what makes our community great? Fashion pics and toes?
