Committee passes bill supporting union of man, woman

This is basic English.

Basic English is recognizing the difference between the phrases "a different word" and "different words". As if adjectives aren't used to discriminate between concepts.

This is exactly why civil rights laws were passed... To keep racist bigots from trying to use moral disapproval as a shield to hide behind.

Now they are being used by demented fascists to force artistic creation by people they hold grievances against for not approving their lifestyle choices.

So, beyond the fact that you're trying to craft a make-believe scenario to try and bolster your claim

I clearly identified it as a thought experiment. Further in each if these recent cases, the bakers, florists, and photographers served gays for everything other than gay weddings or gay commitment ceremonies.

The nature of the event is shown in your example as not being a problem. Your example instead shows that the reason behind the denial of service is because the customers are male.

Uh, it's clear the reason for denial is the event is a same sex wedding.

Had all seeking a marriage cake been rejected, then the denial would have been due to the nature of the event.

The homosexual opposite sex couple seeking the wedding cake would not be rejected.

The straight same sex couple seeking the same sex wedding cake would be rejected.

I can see that you're against gays getting married,

I'm against the a government institution whose sole purpose is for the state to elevate only approved romantic configurations and to harm every other romantic configuration. And that's what gay marriage is. That's what Kennedy redefined the government institution to be.

If the state is going to be in the business of assigning dignity, then every person in every configuration deserves that dignity.

but your disagreement with it doesn't make marriage between two men a different event than marriage between a man and a woman.

But obviously they are. One is a marriage which is the natural union between a man and a woman, the other is a gay marriage.
