Commodore 128 vs 128D vs 128DCR

I have two of each version and I really only use the machines for CP/M. I didn't watch the video sadly as YouTube have destroyed their product with adverts now... just can't be bothered anymore. I did slide your smaller video along without playing and couldn't see any cable ties on the cost reduced version. Maybe wrong.

Whilst the machines have historic value they were pretty much overshadowed eventually by the Amiga which provided way more functionality and the better disk drive arrangement. Don't get me wrong I like the 1571 and is my preferred drive on my C64s, but the basic C128 really needed the drive built in. Personally I find the 6128 a far better form factor and gives me CP/M on a 3". Much better with the disk drive.

Anyway, you probably discussed the cable tie and the portability of the plastic version which is a really cool looking product. The unit has a lot in common with the Apricot. Neat units.

No worries about my post here I will delete it tomorrow and all the links.

Oh and sorry, yes I have all of them. Two of each. Sadly not much use in 2021, to me anyway. Just nice things to have.
