Is it common for younger people to pretend to have mental illnesses?

I feel that with the anxiety thing. I've seen so many people say "I have such bad anxiety I can't even go to the cash register." My guy, you haven't stepped out of the house in 2 years thanks to a pandemic and have been ordering online. If you don't do something long enough, you'll lose that skill, even something as basic as human interaction. The first time I ordered a becspk at a deli I was nervous as fuck, but after doing it almost every day for the past few months now, it's second nature. That first time, I didn't have some anxiety disorder, I was just nervous doing something I wasn't used to

I'm sure there are plenty of people who genuinely do have some type of anxiety disorder, but many more definitely just need to touch grass
