I'm new to using reddit to speak about gunpla.

I've built 8 kits ever. Two and a half of them ended up failures/breaking. One is a Ez-8 MG that a friend gifted to me at my HS. I'd love to paint it in the future so I recently took it apart. The other two was a crappy 1/144 90s HG death scythe hell, and the other a HG 1/100 Airmaster beautiful kit, butt loads of panel lines terrible integrity I bought my first few kits on a LOOKS COOL basis not a this would be a better kit to try like my HG GM Space Command type.

I have two more kits left though.

I'm working on a FG RX-78 from 1999, and a NG Leopard Destroy 1/144, but I've been lazy to continue work on them since technically I'm missing some integral supplies.

The Supplies I need are Alligator Clips skewers more cardboard/foam block acrylic primer topcoat Facemask though no a requirement I wish I had one Sandpaper I only use single tamiya file atm from tthe basic tool kit

I'm not trying to be fancy I've never painted a kit ever. I was only ever lucky to get paints because I was gifted a erector set from a hobby store, but traded it back for tamiya acrylic paints.

Anyways I'm up to the seam filling/plastic cement step for these kits and the FG is going to be challenge. See since it's a simple model and doesn't use poly caps.

To fill seems you'd either need Putty (something I don't have I just have basic U.T.tamiya cement) or cement so I'm using the more common route. So when I paint the kit will be in 5 parts 2 legs, 2 arms, and the torso/accessories. This is difficult as painting minor details like the grey ankle piston will be tricky.

I plan painting it in the prototype colors. With a chrome silver.

The Leopard Destroy is a 90's HG. It's a cool design, but I will need to make sure the limbs are tight. It's not a difficult kit, but will require more care. This kit is embarrassingly missing colors and requires plenty of paint. I thankfully have an assortment of paints, but not a huge assortment. I'm excited to see this come out and I want to try drybrushing on some of the cannon parts for this kit.

All of my previous kits. I mainly OOB and the most complex step was panel lining, but I lost my Gunpla fine tip detailing marker when I moved to Ohio. So I no longer could detail my last few kits. I built my last two HG's a Gundam F91, and a RAl 35 with my girlfriend. She really enjoys it and I want to buy her a bear guy. As well as a tool kit of her own.

My dream kit is to build a MG Johnny Ridden and candy coat it. Or one of the 1/60, 1/100 Retro Kits and take my time and make and awesome display piece. I love to look of retro gunpla.
