but people blow everything so far out of proportion it's unbelievable

I do not think some of these posts are out of proportion.

Most of them are, but a lot of times people try to give arguments backing up their opinions but people seem to ignore it and act as if the person they are talking about is just a victim being attacked, while ignoring all the argument some "random person" gave.

For example, last year when people were questioning Link they checked out all his known smurfs to point out that he played less games than other pro players (which was enhanced by the whole hearthstone circlejerk).

People, in fact, showed that he had hundreds less games than other players and used that fact to justify whatever they thinked about him, to an extent that they even questioned his motivation.

Don't get me wrong, what I mean with this post is that the reaction to the criticism some players get is also blown out of proportion because not every post is "X is shit" but even when people use arguments they are completely ignored.

Sometimes people are actually reasonable with their arguments but for some reason people tend to think that "random persons" are always offensive and unreasonable.

Another example: I had this idea of making a video showing Link teamfights this year and analyzing his positioning, which had a conclusion that on some champions he positions himself like a supportive mage and therefore he should try to incorporate control or long range mages into his champion pool (including some arguments for each champion but that is another topic).

I decided against it because in the end what all people(including high personalities) would get was: "oh, you say his positioning is shit", which would be extremely enhanced by the fact you are focusing on a single player during a video.

It is stupidly hard to make arguments for your criticism when not only people ignore it but also there is this whole victim game blown out of proportion for both sides.

If you get on these hate threads 10 hours late and dig in a little further you find some stuff, but people see the first minute of a hate thread and ignore everything else that comes with it (both victims and haters do get the hate and ignore every other post).
