I was going to post a CS yesterday, but then I realized I was far too tired, didn't know the set up well enough, and didn't want to just assume it was OK without contacting you first.
Anyway, happy Mother's day! My family went to the local Renaissance festival. It was really cool. There were all these shops which otherwise would have an impossible-to-find nieche market (lethersmith and magic wand craftsman. Where else do you find job descriptions like that. Nowhere, that's where) mixed in with some short little routines done on stages. Of the various ones avalible, we saw 2- the Ded Bob Sho, and the Wheel of Death. The DBS ran into several audio errors, but it was a stand-up comedy show, so he managed to play it off pretty well. The basic idea of the show is basically a comedy ventriloquist act, but the dummy is a skeleton and the ventriloquist doesn't talk. Also all of the jokes that weren't about the sound system were puns or crude humor. I think I would have liked it less if the sound didn't screw up. The WoD was much cooler though. It was a pantomimed sketch of a guy doing acrobatic feats on the titular. The acrobatics were amazing and the guy was so good at managing an audience. An especially good feat considering there was an entire family of hecklers that thought they were just hilarious but the rest of us wished would shut up and have some respect for the acrobat. One kid literally said "now jump off" when he was at the very top.
Also saw some pretty neat jewelry. (My personal quest was to find a fairly cheap cancer symbol necklace and hang it in my room or something. Turned up fruitless though.)
Oh, and I ate all of a turkey leg. These gigantic fucking turkey legs. Like, look at your for arm and flex. It was (bigger if you lack muscle mass, smaller if you've got a lot, that big if your somewhere in the middle) then that. Kind of a feat of strength.
AOTD 1: I could really pit any good YTPMV here, but I think for now I'll say Source On Me is my favorite. Super Source-a-gon (same person) holds a close second.
AOTD 2: Calamari is the shit. It is also really wierd.
