Commuting from "South Jersey"/Burlington County?

hi yes me! i commute from both camden county and northern burlington county depending on the day. hopefully i can be of some help! (please note that my schedule is based on me getting to campus around 8-9am and leaving between 4-7, so traffic is usually heavier for me. the time you leave can really impact travel times!)

from camden county, its about an hour drive to rutgers using the turnpike. i just hate doing that because the tolls add up and it can get expensive. to avoid tolls, it would be about an hour an a half drive (to take 295 then hop onto rt 130).

i mainly drive from northern burlington county since commuting from camden county is so dreadful and expensive. its about a 40-50 minute drive. i take rt 130, so the constant going and stopping gets old VERY fast. one nice thing is that rt 130 puts you right onto rt 1 where the cook farm is. on 130, there are also places to quickly stop along the way to get food, coffee, etc. gas stations are a lot cheaper too in south brunswick! i avoid using rt 1 as my primary route because traffic gets really bad and backed up. 130 is significantly better.

regardless, commuting can be draining and get boring fast. but it also becomes routine and you find ways to make your trip faster or learn backroads. i also found that the right playlist can make things a lot better!
