High flying NS people complain endlessly about losing 2 years compared to their international peers but they never stop to think how many other places in the world a lower-middle class fuckwit can even get the opportunity to compete on the global stage. If you're a 20 percentile sinkie trying to compare yourself with 1% then obviously not! The average Indian, PRC, Phillipino and Malaysia degree holder absolutely sucks compared to an Singaporean, but they have many times our numbers and only their best can come here. If you're an ITE student, so what? Singapore ITEs are many times better than the average inner city american high school. Just take a look at the how many bloody programs the government is pushing to have Singaporean jobseekers right now. Or just take a look in the average workplace to see just how much more "favorably" they are treating FTs vs Singaporeans. Unless you are a professional in a niche area or demand a way of life completely incompatitble with Singapore, I find it hard to believe you will get a better life elsewhere.
