Computer Science Student Society faces 'almost a year' delay in getting AMS credit card, forcing members to bear expenses personally

Akeuchbeny said he was “very surprised” that the CSSS had not received a card.

Basically he has no fucking idea what's going on.

During his campaign in March 2018, Akuechbeny made a complete shift from paper to plastic reimbursement a highlight of his campaign. But the overall number of credit cards issued to clubs, constituencies and AMS staff this year is “just over 40.”

Basically, he was either overoptimistic or a liar.

Akuechbeny said he plans to look into the CSSS’ delay “right away.”

So it didn't make sense to do that before the Ubyssey was going to drag his name through the mud a little?

Akuechbeny said delays in reimbursement are usually due to incomplete applications — something his office can’t control.

If tons of execs are submitting incomplete transactions, maybe it's time to review internal processes, like the treasurer's handbook and quiz that changes every 5 or 6 days and is arbitrarily enforced. For fucks sake, it isn't that hard people.

I mean, even an electronic form where you submit the receipt on a website with required blanks cannot be that fucking hard to put in place.

You know that saying about shit on your feet? If you smell shit everywhere you go, it's probably you that stepped in shit and not everyone around you that stepped in poop.

Zhang said the constituency faced repeated frustrations while applying, noting that two AMS financial coordinators resigned without much notice to clubs during their application process — meaning it effectively had to be restarted twice.

I wonder why.

And no transition process was put in place?
