Conclusive proof that it is Trump's policy to separate children from their families at the border

Yes.

  1. Classification: We regularly refer to them as either "illegals" or "undocumented".

  2. Symbolization: Nothing currently.

  3. Discrimination: We're not giving them their civil rights by separating their families, by keeping them in horrible conditions. Our own government officials are dismissing them as "criminals". Regular transport buses, like Greyhound, are being pulled over and people are being made to show their ID, to prove citizenship.

  4. Dehumanization: Our government is not only separating families, but is busing them to the camps, sometimes in cages. Children are finding themselves being made to fend for themselves in these camps or internment areas. They're simply being "sorted".

  5. Organization: Our system of organization was already in place, namely ICE. We have been relying on ICE to find undocumented people and pick them up to deport them. Our government tells us it's because they broke the law by coming illegally. The solution is already established.

  6. Polarization: We're already fighting among ourselves on social media, in our government, and protests have already begun. One side sees it as immoral and inhumane; the other side sees it as the price of maintaining law and order. Our government officials are fighting on partisan lines on this issue, as well.

  7. Preparation: As I said above, ICE was already in place. Part of Trump's campaign platform was to send back undocumented people. All that had to be done is to demand that they use stricter enforcement. As I said in "Organization", everything was already in place. The only difference is in enforcement.

  8. Persecution: Many people believe that the undocumented are criminals because they came to America without previous applications for citizenship. Therefore, undocumented = criminal. Our own POTUS described them as "rapists and murderers".

  9. Extermination: Between the lack of post-storm support for Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the argument could be made that it was purposefully done to see how many would survive. The current internment of undocumented people, separating families, could mean lack of support and assistance for younger children in these places. The adults probably will survive, but the children may not. It's mostly a neglect issue, and I do admit it's more of a situational problem than a direct death. However, the internment camps in Germany relied on starvation and lack of sanitation to kill their prisoners.

  10. That leaves denial. Our government is already covering this by saying it's because they broke the law. They pointed to the Jones Act to excuse not getting supplies and aid to Puerto Rico, for actual US citizens. As I said above, many of the positions are already in place.

So the only part that doesn't currently apply is Symbolization. That's still 9/10.
