Condescending Preschool Teacher and Perceived Monetary Status

Great question and here are a few examples.

We were on a field trip a few weeks ago and her teacher was constantly giving us parenting advice. She gave us and a couple in a same sex marriage the advice although we were the only ones with both parents present.

My wife asked the director why our child was not sent home with the art work and progress reports like other children in other classes. We were told that the teacher was new and we should understand.

My wife asked the director a week ago about what to expect for the spring curriculum. After several days we received a response that did not address her question and was poorly written with repeated sentences almost in verbatim.

I asked her teacher how our daughter's progress was was going. She only focused on the failing benchmarks but didn't highlight the accomplishments. She was very short in detail except when she again gave unsolicited parenting advice.

We also spoke with other parents. One other couple who are similar to us have had similar issues but other parents were happy with their experience.

Writing this out it seems petty but it is hard to describe the attitudes and body language of the people at the preschool.

I hope this helps.
