I think you get the idea. The talking point someone handed you is full of hooey and makes anyone look ignorant to repeat it. Here is a full list of all the monuments to a group of racist losers in the United States. It's not just courthouses, but schools, parks, roadways and even license plates. There is tons of this junk all over the place, and it all needs removed to somewhere where it has a historical context and is not in a place of reverence.
