Conflicting feelings about Kurt and Nirvana...

Overall, all this social justice warrior thing and the attitude he portrayed. Despite being extremely talented, I just think he was very "edgy" or had this edgy attitude that he liked to display. And when I say social justice warrior, I don't mean it because he stood up for causes like sexism, homophobia, etc, which was actually admirable. I am talking about his edgy attitude, like that time when he said "if any of you, in any way, hate homosexuals, people of a different color or women, please do this one favor for us — leave us the fuck alone. Don’t come to our shows and don’t buy our records". That's a pretty childish thing to say, in my book. I just don't get all the drama. Also, that one time when he accused Axl Rose of being racist, when Axl clearly said that he never referred to the term "nigga" as a means to denigrate people of color...it's just a "slang" used in the black community which carries no belittling, it's like a white person saying "bro" to another white person. I just don't buy all the drama around this. Other than that, again, he just left me with the impression that he could be either too critical/extreme or he could just not give a fuck about anything.
