It makes me so angry that we even have these. I grew up in a time where gay was still wrong and they were sending teens left & right to these camps. There were talk shows about it. (Think Phil Donahue etc.) It doesn't work anyway either they transition later, ignore it, or worse.

Just read about Daphne now Dylan Scholinski, I included his previous name because that's how it's titled. I read that book in one day.

Ugh I've wanted to rant about this because it's the stupidest thing. I'm not transgender, although I had a cousin transition in the 80s believe it or else. That blew the whole family out of the water and is a short story all in itself, but I remember when I was about 12 i really wanted to be a boy because I had feelings for my best friend and if I were a boy I could hold her hand as I wanted. Of course that straightened out (ha) once I just couldn't take it anymore and accepted who I was at 21.

This is so dumb. This is child abuse.
