Conors take on what happened in the bar

Anger is a great motivator...to start a journey. The fuel of that anger fades with time and you need something else to keep pushing you. Once he beat the greatest 145er in Aldo he needed something again but what? You either channel that into something positive or you double down on the negativity and lashing out. The trash talk + gangster persona became more and more forced with each fight. He seemed to stop operating from a place of genuine motivation and hunger for more that we all saw in the beginning.

I think we are beyond ever seeing the same mindset he had when he was clearing out the “McGregor” decision. His life has drastically changed since then and with it, the ability to be tapped into that warrior mindset he once emphasized so well.
