The Conservatives have launched a bizarre Jeremy Corbyn smear campaign that involved sending parcels of actual chicken breasts to journalists

It's not a joke, it's a petty and childish ad hominem attack that completely ignores the reason why this is happening. You have to be seriously out of touch with this week's events for this to have any impact other than to be embarrassed by the Conservative parties conduct right now.

The only problem I'm seeing, is the BBC in their presentation of events (particularly on Newsnight) are often turning to Labour guests and saying 'You were offered and election and are the first opposition to run scared at the chance!?'.

I wish one of them would just turn to the usually vapid interviewers and say 'have you ever heard of thing called context?'.

Yes Labour want an election, but they want to wait to lock out Boris from potential breaks in convention that would allow a No Deal crash out.

It's really ridiculous how the BBC is presenting events at Westminster considering the meltdown we are witnessing.
