Considering going Vegan

I will say, basing all your morality and your views on what’s right and wrong on a book written over the span of hundreds of years (also thousands of years ago) isn’t the best idea. Sure the core principles and the commandments are applicable today, but there is so much inconsistency in the bible in comparison to today’s society, you can’t just use it as a foolproof defence.

Idk if that made sense. I’ve spent a lot of time around Christianity as my mother is a priest and my girlfriend (also vegan) is religious too.

But back to your actual comment. You say “IF I WANT”. Which is exactly that... “want”. Why do you “want” to eat them? It’s no longer to survive (like when the bible was written), it’s now for taste and pleasure - superficial reasons. So in today’s society (I’m assuming you live in a western country, forgive me if I’m wrong), where you have absolutely no NEED to contribute to the torture and death of living beings, WHY do it?

Christ/yeshua taught love and compassion above all else. You have the chance to show love and compassion and mercy to God/YAHWEH’s creations on a constant basis. But currently you don’t for superficial pleasures.

Tell me... What Would Jesus Do?
