Considering a move to Orange County

I lived in Woodbridge for a few years quite awhile ago. I loved it, but here are my complaints. Most of Irvine is adjacent to the 405 or the 5 (most of if in between), you'll likely be listening to the hum of the Detroit river 24/7, it drove me crazy. Also, traffic lights are synchronized so that you'll catch every single one most of the time, getting anywhere, even to the freeway is painful. On the other hand, go south of Irvine and old school attitudes prevail. That said, I'm in Lake Forest and there seems to be a major rotation happening. My neighborhood was homogeneous when we moved here, but it's now starting to feel like Irvine, very international and lots of renovation.
