Thank you for providing the source! I found it as a webm in a ylyl thread as I was lurking through 4chan, and thought is was a great candidate for this sub.

Anyway, I will use this opportunity to share some of my thoughts on this particular gif... Tbh, it pisses me off. But, why? Because I can relate? Not really, but kind of. Because they took advantage of this unwitting young guy, and got entertainment at his expense? Probably, yes. It does seem cruel. But, what if the roles were reversed, and it was some unwitting "Chad" as the mark, and the stereotypical antisocial guy being in on the prank? How would our reaction differ? How would the mark react? Does confidence, adaptation, and reaction make the difference?

Overall, I'm conflicted, but I truly appreciate all of the responses here - from the empathetic to the sarcastic. This post turned out to be a "social experiment" in itself. I love you and hate you all. Peace. Be good to one another.
