Conversion stories?

I was baptized on February 27th of this year. I grew up in the Catholic Church (even went through Catechism and confirmation), but started questioning my faith and all religion in general a little over a year ago. When I asked Catholic family members and friends the questions I had about the church, I would get varied answers and that just didn't sit right with me. I then had questions for the priest of the church I was going to, and he told me I shouldn't be asking questions about anything. That did it for me. At that point, I knew I wanted to have nothing to do with the Catholic Church any longer.

It was then that I started looking into other religions and visiting different churches. My friend (LDS) thought I was a little crazy, but started sharing what the LDS church believes. And to me, it just all made sense. She encouraged me to fill out the online form to get in contact with the missionaries, so I did. It wasn't long after that that I was taking lessons with them. I investigated the church for a few months before I decided that I wanted to officially join and get baptized. It was probably the best decision I have ever made in my life.

I faced plenty of obstacles... My fiancé broke up with me (he was a devout Catholic), my relationships with some family members aren't as strong anymore... Some members have completely stopped talking to me, and the friends I once had are no longer in my lives because they all completely disagree with the Church.

This past year has been insanely difficult for me, especially now as my original wedding date was for this past weekend. It hurts knowing that my friends no longer want to have a friendship with me and family members don't want to talk to me all because I changed religions. I know that I made the right decision and I will one day be blessed with so many great things in life because of it. Since I started investigating the church and getting baptized, I have noticed tremendous changes in my life and have constantly felt the Spirit with me. Becoming a member of the Church was the best thing I have ever done in my life, and I can't wait to see the many blessings it brings to my life.
