It will vary from couple to couple I’m sure. But it’s problematic when it becomes too intimate.

I have what you might consider a work wife (Alice). Without getting into a long story, my wife cheated on me. We’ve been working on staying together, but if I’m being honest I think about Alice far too much and in too intimate of a way that could ever be considered appropriate by any sane person.

Alice knows of my wife’s affair and has been a huge source of support for me.

I feel like the writing is on the wall in big red capital letters. I love my wife but also can’t imagine not having Alice in my life. I’m sure this will end badly.
