I have second hand knowledge of what happened here and I happen to side with the cops on this one. The party goers were there illegally - the cops were trying to protect the homeowners in the neighborhood who were being victimized by a few anarchists there. A few days after this, it happened this very girl through another party - this time some houses were busted up and a car was stolen and wrecked. The cops wouldn't come because of such a tense situation.

Interesting, so in your mind we should take your "second hand knowledge", and throw out; Every single other (well, minus the animal-torturing felon who called the cops) eyewitness account, our own perceptions of the video we saw with our own eyes, our friends perceptions, and the perceptions of the vast majority of the people on reddit... and re-evaluate all of that based on one racist redditor's post? That seems pretty ridiculous, but I'll keep going with your ridiculous post anyway. The party goers were not there illegally, the girl who threw the party lived at the complex and the only reason the cops were called was because a middle aged white woman was making racist comments and fighting. How is that in any way illegal on the part of the party goers? How are they anarchists? Your post explains none of this, and pretty much makes up a lot of stuff.

So we have to be careful. There is a fine line between liberty and anarchy. Police officers know the extent of the law and will exercise that - but ultimately are employed to protect law abiders from the law breakers. In my opinion, we should be looking to change the law so it cops can lie. That they have to wear cameras, etc. Otherwise you might as well call yourself an anarchist - no better than the jerks at that party who harassed the mother of 3 kids out walking. Cops are the only defense between the law of the jungle, and the rule of law.

The only "law breakers" at that party were the cops and an old white woman who went there to harass a bunch of kids trying to have fun, and the person who should be careful is you. Cops have zero accountability almost all of the time, which is why this story is news. The very idea of a cop being held responsible for his actions is an assault on decency, according to people like you and the cops. That's a joke, and you should fear for your safety every time you come near a cop, even if you are one. Cops may respect other cops more than average citizens, but they are still murders.
