Cops Gagged and Smothered a Man to Death, Then Fist-Bumped

No actually, I won't. Wanna know why?

It is important that citizens be aware of these sorts of issues and it is even more important that we discuss them to find solutions.

I guess it's so easy to be cavalier about this as if I am overacting or something. What if this was you that got beaten? What if it was one of your family members or a friend? Why pretend like this guy didn't have rights and that what happened to him - should not have happened? I'm emotionally unstable? Hardly. I have a tremendous amount of empathy because I have been taken advantage of by authority before in the past.

Can you imagine being tied to a chair, no way to defend yourself, being beaten to the point to where you become unconscious and end up becoming blind? Being taunted on the way to unconsciousness by being told to "stop resisting". What kind of sick and disconnected person are you? Are you even human?

In this day and age, something like has been known to start riots, have gotten innocent cops killed and just tarnishes the already shitty reputation that a good % of US citizens have against the police. They weren't getting justice or doing their job, or being professional in any way. They were taking advantage of their authority and beat the fuck up out of this guy unnecessarily and illegally.

We can't allow this to continue.
