Coronavirus Today: What it's like to die from COVID-19

Saving people a click:

TL/DR: It's terrible. 0/10. Do not recommend. Get vaccinated.

Lots of Karen's in the article. At least one of the Karen's describes it as follows:

  1. Trouble breathing so you go to hospital.
  2. Hospital can't do much except transfer you to the ICU. You feel like you are drowning.
  3. Air is forced in to your lungs through a mask because it's too exhausting to breathe on your own.
  4. Sedated. Paralyzed. Ventilator. Outlook not so good.
  5. ECMO machine to oxygenate your blood if you're fortunate enough to be at a hospital that has one.
  6. Tubes placed in your chest to remove air that has leaked from somewhere. Dialysis. Heart attack. Stroke. CPR.
  7. Apparently your family will have a final "facetime" call with you. After the call the breathing tube is removed and someone, maybe Karen, will hold your hand until you die.
