Coronavirus: WHO joins the Great Barrington Declaration by condemning lockdowns

"And so, we really do appeal to all world leaders: stop using lockdown as your primary control method. Develop better systems for doing it. Work together and learn from each other.”

I wonder if they're going to be surprised when the internet, media organiztions, citizens, and world leaders strip all nuance from these statements and simply use the parts they like to suit their needs.?

See that part where he says "primary" and "develop better systems." Like, a whole lot of people are going to glaze over those silly words as though they were parsley next to their steak.

What these health professionals also don't seem to understand (or are ignoring) is that the extended lockdowns are necessary because of the foolish decisions being made by people that oppose lockdowns. These "better systems" that they likely want, by and large, require well-prepared wealthy competent governments, medical resources, and a very socially responsible populace. These things, sadly, are in short supply. Calls to oppose lockdowns from the WHO are simply going to add fule to the wrong fire. In wanting an end to lockdowns, just like anti-maskers, they are ensuring that they will last longer.

Goodness, health peeps, when you talk about Covid, strip the nuance out and assume that everyone is dumb.
