Unfortunately it only takes a couple instances of this to permanently dissuade folks from pursuing non meta builds. I've seen it happen and once people realize they aren't allowed to play the way they want they leave the game. For instance, I have a perfectly viable Stamden healer that I play. It's competitive with majicka builds and the only draw backs are no combat prayer and a few less orbs. Still, if a single person dies to mechanics they should have avoided I'm booted. I have two other magika healers and know how to play but people will always gravitate against the person playing the non meta build when they get mad about group performance.
