Correction officers of Reddit, have you ever met an inmate that was actually a very nice person but did absolutely horrifying crimes? If so what's there story?

In the eyes of the law, no. And I don’t think that should change; but in certain circumstances like this I can definitely sympathise with the person committing the crime and honestly if I were in their shoes I would probably be having similar thoughts. I have less sympathy for a piece of shit rapist getting murdered than I do for the girl who got raped. Not saying murder is justified but I don’t think it’s fair to say the Dad is worse as a person.

The original comment of them being ‘as bad as each other’ probably hits closer to the truth (however to be honest I don’t even entirely agree with that), than the claim of the father being a worse person. I’d rather live in a society full of loving fathers that happen to be completely chill unless you rape their family, than a society full of rapists. Call me fucked up but if you don’t want to get murdered then don’t rape people
