Cost of War Board game, looking for playtesters

Hi, We truly appreciate your interest in play testing our board game Cost of War (CoW). As our posting on Reddit stated our game has a strong 'Settlers of Catan' influence for an economic mechanism along with a 'Battle Cry' or 'Risk' military component, yet CoW is a completely unique game in its own right. In early July we began shipping out our first round of prototypes to members from https://boardgamegeek.com and http://www.bgdf.com, we are responding to www.reddit.com members now as we have received feedback from the first round allowing us to address the changes to our second generation prototype. We expect second generation game to be ready for shipment over the next 2 to 3 weeks.

The demand to play test CoW is beyond the number of available prototypes, we expect to have 4 to 8 second generation prototypes made. At this time we would like to obtain some more information on your group as well as set some expectations from our play testers whom are selected. Given CoW is a 2-3 player game, with expansion option for 4 players, Do you have an active group of players who you think would enjoy CoW? Would your group be willing to actively play CoW and provide feedback on a regularly basis? We expect your group to play CoW during a 2 to 4 month period of time and provide feedback weekly or bi-weekly, does this interest you?

Lastly we encourage criticism and eagerly want to hear the problems with the game and looking for alternatives that make game more fluid and increase gamers desire to re-play CoW. With this in mind, have you ever play tested before? And what games does your group typically play? Do you have any questions for the CoW creators?

Sorry for all the answers, we want to make sure the play testing experience will be fun for you and your group so these questions will help us select the right mix of players

Best Regards Mike
