I don’t want to get into details about my case for obvious practical reasons, but I am currently facing a charge for a DUI that I did not commit. As in... I hadn’t driven at all the night I received it. They claimed someone SAW me driving, and since I had alcohol in my system, boom, DUI.

I can’t express to you how flabbergasted I was by this. These guys were acting with the most profane excessive force... and so GLEEFULLY. They were laughing, having so much fun with it, it was like I was being hazed by frat boys.

I really wish one of my friends or I had caught them on camera. We were sooooo confused and I thought I was in a dream when they handcuffed me and took me to the station.

Their actions were completely shocking to me. I’m the most non threatening, short white blonde girl ever and now I recognize my privilege in police matters; I have never ever been treated like that by cops. I mean, the things they were doing were so insane and blatantly corrupt, I couldn’t believe I was in the United States for a minute.

I highly doubt I’ll actually get convicted, I have a good lawyer and this is obviously a ridiculous situation.

I can’t imagine what it would have been like if I were black, but yeah, it’s pretty obvious they’re going after DUIs so hard because they’re trying to get rid of the non LDS.
