How do you know they are dead and not time travelers or advanced spirits? Do they have a different color or shade? Did you ever ask them if they were dead, or did you assume? In spirit, I got told I was dead when I wasn't, often people were ignorant about conversation to determine facts of who, where, when, how, or their data collection devices are insufficient if they are spiritually handicapped and can't hear it themselves. False experts in channelers and priestesses. There are many lying spirits out there that can be very convincing.

Where I stand, the dead get escorted to another existential plane immediately after they die, by angels, except a few who might be PTSD or amputees. A word of warning about the personalities out there that ask for help without defining what they need, or their sadness. Sometimes their sadness is your goodness or vice versa; children that cry, for example, maybe maybe they're upset because their goal was to annihilate you and they couldn't do it. All the people I ever helped were alive, it's just I didn't have enough talent to find them in the real world.
