I could really use some help!

I think you need to really think about the people who will seek out your services. I think you need to be ready to work with a lot of older clientele (I see an image consultant being a lot more sought after by older transitioners who really have no idea what they're doing).

Transitioning is scary, and hard, and I think there probably is a market for that sort of thing, but I think you may need to do a lot of work before you get started. I think, before you seriously start anything, you need to reach out to the trans community in your area, and see if they'd be interested. I think it would probably be hugely beneficial if you make connections with a speech therapist, shops, etc that cater to trans women. You'll need to be ready to have a lot of people who take offense to you marketing toward them, and people who do not know the first thing about dressing or taking care of themselves.

You'll have to deal with a lot of issues you're probably not well versed in (dressing a "masculine" body type, tucking, hair-loss, body hair, etc.), and a lot of people who will fall apart and feel bad. You'll have to be ready for clients who suffer dysphoria, and depression.

A lot of trans women loose their families, and are lower income. You need to be ready to see only a small subset of your local community getting in touch with you.

I guess what I'm saying is you need to be ready for a clientele that aren't glamorous, who need significant amounts of help, and are deeply insecure. Those of us who can get by get by, but those that can't, they're the ones who would reach out.

This paints a really negative picture, I know, and I might be totally wrong, but I think you need to be ready for all this before you can start.
