I don't think so.
Aren't most of her criticisms rooted in her being a Mary Sue?
Well, her rise to a hero story has already been told and that's where you would fix that. And she was a mega-power from start to finish. That's what would need to be fixed.
When she was criticized after The Force Awakens and rumors were flying... people thought, "Oh, she must have already been trained. She forgot, or her mind was wiped to protect her."
Nope. Just a Mary Sue. I guess they could still implement something like that though. But it would be a Prequel child Rey series.
i.e. Palpatine tries to train his granddaughter. But her future is clouded. He senses too much good in her. He refuses to train her and wants her killed off but, she survived and the sequels happened.
Let me just say, I love Daisy Ridley. I remember watching The Force Awakens, and got such a crush on her when she's sitting there with the rebels helmet. I was rooting for Rey. But she's a bad character.
The sequel trilogy did almost every every single character dirty.
The simplest most satisfying "fix" is to just call this the "Star Wars Visions of the Future" Trilogy. It's Star Wars. Its entertaining here and there. Just not canon. Not yet.
