Could someone explain the advantage of flower over liquid extract / concentrate to me?

You seem a bit defensive but I'll try to add my opinion without denigrating yours.

So, firstly, there is a difference in the "act" of vaping vs smoking, in terms of how people approach it. When smoking, and I'm making an assumption on this based on how other people smoke and how long you've smoked for, people tend to hold their breath/hold in the smoke. Contrary to popular belief, from all I've read, you do not actually absorb more THC when you do this, you only work to deprive your brain of oxygen, which will in fact make you feel "higher". I've never seen a vaper "hold it in" so that might explain one of the differences you are feeling.

Secondly, people do in fact recognize that the feeling of a "vape" high is different from that of a "smoke" high. Not sure why that is. Many describe the vape high as "cleaner", in fact. And it does make sense. Referring back to my previous paragraph, when you smoke, you are consuming many chemicals besides THC that are working to deprive your brain of oxygen. Carbon monoxide for instance. So not only when you smoke, by holding in your breath purposefully are you depriving your brain of oxygen, the chemicals are depriving it of even more oxygen. You ever hear of being choked out to attain a high? It's really the same concept. Depriving the brain of oxygen does tend to give a feeling of euphoria.

I guess the question is, do you really think that's healthy? I mean, we all have personal preferences, and you are entitled to yours, but for me, I would rather feel the "clean" high naturally from THC than the "I'm depriving my brain of oxygen" high.

As an aside, coughing also deprives your brain of oxygen, and there are certainly plenty of strains that even when vaped make you cough (though perhaps not as much as when smoking it).

Point is, if your not happy with the high from the vape, that's your preference, but recognize that the high from smoking that you are experiencing isn't necessarily all related to just the absorption type of the THC.
