Countries With No Vaccines Struggle To Get Doses

Not to take sides but the US, the UK, and the EU all took different perspectives on it initially. The US and the UK said from the onset, we're going to fuck up on the mitigations efforts and go all in on vaccines. Both countries threw money at the vaccine effort but were stingy when it came to lockdown measures.

The EU went hard on lockdown and although they invested a ton in the vaccine efforts, they'd counted on lockdowns and restrictions keeping the cases low. It worked at the beginning but this summer when money was being spent and contracts written the EU was in a comfortable position where as the US wasn't. Things were not good in the US when contracts were signed. Different states had different surges but at any point in time, at least one state was in crisis mode and desperate times called for desperate measures.
