Couple at Woodstock 48 hrs after they met and 50 years later (1969/2019)

Anecdotal, of course, but my mom and dad are part of the "Woodstock Generation". Life-long New Yorkers. He's a good guy, very liberal politically, but he went the whole engineering-corporate track. She also took a very straight career path. They made a great living, gave me a good life, I'm doing well, zero complaints about them as parents.

But tons of people from that generation were not part of the counterculture. Just went to work or went to school etc. It always kind of drives me nuts, though, because I would give up a toe to have been at Woodstock or Monterrey Pop or Watkins Glen... and they just took a pass... But oh, well, so it goes...
