Covid-19

I have resigned myself to the fact that it will be around forever and I will get it many many times over the next 10 or 15 years if I make it that far.

I am vaccinated and boosted, and will continue to get the booster just like I get the flu shot. I hold out no hope that I will be able to avoid Covid forever. IMO this virus will be similar to other viruses and the more contact you have with it the less server the symptoms will be each time I get it. I know long Covid is a thing, but with my assumptions of I will not 100% avoid this virus(already had it once) and it will be around forever, I see no benefit in worrying about it anymore.

Even in the places without vaccines, the virus goes around so fast that immunity is granted through infection similar to other viruses in the environment.

The only way I would change my stance and activities is if someone could show that we are 5 years or less from stopping this virus. Not some crazy pipe dream, but show that what we are actually doing is on track for stopping this virus.
