COVID-19 Daily Discussion - 2020-04-05

Well seeing as both of the viruses (HIV is the virus fyi) you gave have been researched and shown not to have originated in America, no.

If you really wanted to make a rational argument you could of gone with the health implications of using Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. However, the US has taken measures to remedy its actions and hasn't denied its responsibility in the repercussions its caused.

Additionally, it seems you lack the understanding of what racism actually is. Blaming the CCP for its propagation of the virus is not racist. Saying every Chinese/Asian person is to blame is. Saying Germany during WW2 caused a genocide amongst the Jewish population isnt racist. Claiming all Germans want to kill Jewish people is.

In times of distress its easy to try and blame a commonly disliked figure. Seeing as you're an Austrialian I cannot rationalize blaming Trump for any effects the pandemic has caused in your country. You vote for your legislators/leaders just as I do mine. So next time before trying to make such a polarizing statement, take time to think and provide a reasonable arguement. I am all for listening to alternative points of view, but making invalid claims only promotes disinformation.

It's quite sad to see the common disposition of American leaders being the cause of problems in other countries. All it demonstrates is a lack of critical thinking and logic. If you dislike your country's leaders siding with America then vote for those who dont. Many Americans dont like Trump but have still dealt with his policy rather than blaming their misfortunes on him. Stop being so shallow minded and think.
