[COVID-19] Stickied Megathread - Vaccine Edition

Even if you think undocumented immigrants somehow aren't "deserving" of a vaccine, which is a completely disgusting thing to say, your alternative is that a good number of them end up in the hospital, with millions of dollars in medical bills they have no ability to pay. Even taking out the basic human decency of thinking people don't deserve to die because of where they were born, there's an incredibly simple economic argument to vaccinate them that benefits society as a whole.

I'm not arguing they don't deserve a vaccine, nor immediate medical care to save their life, but it shouldn't be subsidized by the American taxpayer.
They should be liable for the real cost(absent coded and the inflated number that shows up on paper) of service, supplies and medication though.
You clearly know nothing about how medical billing really works, nor actually had to deal doing private-pay in good faith(as a student that was barely making 25k/yr like I was, and had to have surgery for testicular torsion at 19) so I'm not arguing with your ignorant bullshit.

Regarding the rest of your ignorant nonsense, how the fuck am I racist for saying that making completely unfounded assumptions that Hispanic people at vaccine sites are here illegally, and lying about underlying conditions is a racist thing to do? It's bougie, ignorant East Coast negativity to think that people deserve to not die in a pandemic regardless of their immigration status?

Because you erroneously assume that the majority of Texans are some homogeneous WASP, pecker-wood rednecks that are only out to let the 'mesicans die for the sake of Xenophobia.

Also, thinking NYC is a dead economy, and is somehow more corrupt than Texas (where our lieutenant governor is currently under federal indictment while being investigated by the FBI for corruption) is hilariously dense.

Then why are you here? Why do you think NYC's cost of living and onerous permitting fees for something as simple as putting a sign in front of a leased space required 4 annual permits, and nearly every industry that isn't even a safety risk? You bitch about nearly everything short of cost of living in Houston compared to NYC, and yet you're still here. Face it, you're just a negative, racist, bougie asshole.
