Covid and band rehearsals

This is a hard subject to talk about because in many subreddits, saying anything less than "stay inside and be afraid" will get you permanently banned with no warning.

That in and of itself is concerning; censorship is not a hallmark of freedom, democracy, or even honest debate and discussion.

Does your first-hand experience line up with the kind of fear and terror peddled on the news?

Grocery store employees, fast food workers, repair shop employees and door to door salesmen -- and so many others -- have had to work through all of this.

Those people - and there are many - would see your concern about meeting up with a few people you know and shake their heads.

You could socially distance. You could wear a mask. You could even find a way to meet and practice outdoors.

At some point you have to wonder - do you actually WANT to practice?

I don't mean that combatively at all - I mean it very seriously. It could be that you actually don't, and subconsciously this is an excuse not to... Because if you REALLY DID want to then you would, right?

Anyhow, I guess I've already said enough to trigger the banhammer.

This is a weird new world we live in, where you can't even have a conversation about something. It starts with limiting speech, but it ends with limiting thought. And it begins with fear, a whole lot of fear.
