It's not even that... it's that people are conflating survival rate and incidence of infection and thinking "it's all good!" Just because 99.4% of people live after they get coronavirus, doesn't mean that the virus doesn't make a whole lot of people sick as hell, and doesn't mean that it doesn't suck to get it.
Yeah, for the most part, everyone's going to live. It's a casedemic and not a pandemic because relatively few people are dying. But that doesn't mean you want to get the stupid thing, with the brain fog, loss of taste and smell, sterilization, a three-month reduction in breathing capability, and all the other stupid effects this stupid virus has.
