Want to get Covid vaccine, but absolutely terrified - has anyone gotten it?

This touches on EVERYTHING and I love it. My issues(and I'm assuming a lot of others' as well) stem from your mind racing about what could happen. And there's nothing you can do about any of them because they aren't even happening in this very moment, so you end up feeling helpless and anxious. Trying to stay in the moment and feel what is happening right this minute is extremely helpful, and why"grounding" exercises work for a lot of people.

Also something I repeat a lot is your idea of accepting the unpleasantness. Discomfort is not danger is something my therapist has said to me and has really stuck. Just because you feel shitty for a little bit, doesn't mean it's a bad thing. You are uncomfortable and you don't like it, but you are perfectly safe.
