Coworker dating a teenager, and already talking about having kids together

"because even early 20s is so young to expect someone to start thinking about settling down and having children, and too young for a woman to already be worrying about being an "old mom"

This. This is what I'm commenting on.

And she said the co-worker told the boyfriend that she doesn't want to be an old mom. Please, in what world does that statement = manipulation?

My point, and I think it's valid, is that OP is judging that these people are too young to THINK about settling down and having children yet I see teenagers come in here talking about sterilizing themselves. I think it warrants a perspective showing that although I absolutely agree that anyone under the age of 25, hell 30 even, shouldn't consider bringing a human life into this world, I also think anyone under the age of 25, hell 30 even, shouldn't consider themselves firmly rooted in any decision. Not sure how old you are, but I know that a lot changed for me between the ages of 25-30 that I didn't realize even happened until I was in my 30s.

So, yes, the old phrase 'devil's advocate' (it is just a phrase, y'know? I didn't say the devil was real) applies here because I see this post laden with hypocrisy. Whether I agree or not wasn't my initial point; it was simply showing a different perspective is all. And, I don't know about you, but I can definitely look back at 20 year-old me and think, "Boy, I was awfully judgmental of other people's life choices."
