Cozmo has acknowledged the desire for a primary buff and is looking for feedback

The sandbox team needs to stop view it as a problem when certain weapons kill outside of their "box" so to speak.

A-fucking-men. The arbitrary, retroactive decision they made to force engagement distances based on RNG accuracy is one of the most broken, anti-fun, anti-player mechanics I've ever experienced in a shooter. I don't know why Bungie feels such an urgency to appease people on bnet and reddit who think their perception of "SCOUT RIFLE RANGE!!!!111!!!" should be gospel for game balance, but holy shit, it's gotta fucking go. When vanilla dropped, AR's were "competing at scout range," so they got nerfed to shit. Then HC's were "competing at scout range," so they got destroyed. Then in 2.0, PR's were "competing at scout range," so those got slapped down. When does it end? And why was the line arbitrarily drawn here, when none of the other game mechanics are designed to support it?

There's a quote from the show Justified that goes, "You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole; you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole." Well maybe scout rifles are the asshole? If everything is so problematic because of the way it interferes with scout rifles, maybe scout rifles are the problem. Why are we constantly pegging effective range (and, more generally, balance as a whole) to this ass-backwards and completely arbitrary archetypal "law?"

Fuck scout rifles. I want my guns to map again. Scouts can fill a niche for players who like play ultra conservatively or for Combined Arms maps. Enough with holding the entire rest of the game hostage just because some people on this forum don't want to get killed by a Thorn from 40 feet away.
